Mahuli Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. (MSLB) is a national-level "D" Class Microfinance Financial Institution incorporated under the Companies Act, 2063 of Nepal. The institution is committed to promoting financial inclusion, women's empowerment, entrepreneurship development, and sustainable socio-economic growth by delivering accessible and responsible microfinance services across Nepal.
MSLB has an authorized capital of NPR 400 million, with an issued capital of NPR 369.92 million and a paid-up capital of NPR 369.92 million. Guided by the principles of responsible banking and inclusive finance, the institution continues to expand financial opportunities for underserved communities, particularly in rural areas.
Our Background
Mahuli Laghubitta traces its roots to the Mahuli Community Development Center (MCDC), a community-based organization that began providing financial services more than 25 years ago. Building upon this extensive experience in community development and rural finance, MSLB has evolved into a trusted national microfinance institution dedicated to improving the livelihoods of economically disadvantaged households.
Since its inception, the institution has focused on empowering rural women, low-income families, small entrepreneurs, self-help groups, and micro-enterprises by providing access to financial services that support income generation and sustainable economic development. By integrating people from diverse social and economic backgrounds into an inclusive financial system, Mahuli Laghubitta contributes to reducing financial exclusion and strengthening Nepal's rural economy.

Objectives
Mahuli Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. is committed to achieving sustainable growth while expanding financial inclusion and supporting entrepreneurship throughout Nepal. Its key objectives include:
Increase business growth, profitability, and overall institutional performance by at least 50% within the next three years.
Expand financial access to at least two-thirds of Nepal's local areas within the next five years.
Connect women with entrepreneurship opportunities and facilitate the participation of one-third of associated women's groups in small and medium enterprise (SME) activities within five years.
Strengthen members' entrepreneurial capacity through continuous training, skill development, financial literacy, and enterprise support programs, with the goal of increasing participants' income levels by at least 20% within five years.
Double the number of active members by achieving 100% growth in active participation within the next five years.
Promote responsible, inclusive, and sustainable microfinance services that contribute to poverty reduction, women's economic empowerment, and rural development.
