Jeevan Bikas Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited is a national-level "D" Class Financial Institution in Nepal, promoted by Jeevan Bikas Samaj, a non-governmental organization dedicated to community development and poverty alleviation. The institution has been providing inclusive microfinance services since February 28, 2019, with a strong commitment to expanding financial access and improving the socio-economic conditions of underserved communities across Nepal.
In accordance with the Merger and Acquisition Bylaws of Banks and Financial Institutions, 2017 issued by Nepal Rastra Bank, Jeevan Bikas successfully merged with Solve Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited and Garibi Nyunikaran Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited. The integrated institution officially commenced its unified operations on September 7, 2020, strengthening its nationwide presence and service capacity.
Guided by its vision of "Poverty Free Nepal," Jeevan Bikas Laghubitta has been delivering both financial and non-financial services to improve the livelihoods of deprived, marginalized, and economically disadvantaged communities. Through a network of 160 branches, the institution serves more than 355,000 families across Nepal, promoting financial inclusion, entrepreneurship, and sustainable community development.
Beyond microfinance services, the institution actively supports social development by encouraging financial literacy, income generation, education, health and nutrition awareness, sanitation, environmental conservation, and community advocacy initiatives. Its integrated approach empowers individuals and communities to achieve long-term economic resilience and social well-being.
