Our History
The history of NMB Capital is closely linked with NMB Bank Limited, which was established in October 1995 as Nepal Merchant Banking and Finance Company before becoming one of Nepal's Class 'A' commercial banks.
Merchant banking has been part of the NMB Group's expertise for decades. NMB Bank received its merchant banking license from the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) in October 1998, making it one of the early participants in Nepal's merchant banking industry.
Following regulatory developments, NMB Capital Limited was established as an independent subsidiary dedicated exclusively to merchant banking and investment banking services.
