Our History
The foundation of Forward Microfinance Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. is rooted in the successful microfinance initiatives of Forum for Rural Women Ardency Development (FORWARD), a non-governmental organization that began providing microfinance services on 15 Poush 2059 B.S. (December 2002).
The vision behind the institution dates back even earlier to 18 Baisakh 2052 B.S. Building upon years of grassroots experience, FCMFBSL was established as a regulated microfinance institution to continue and expand this mission on a national scale, providing sustainable financial services to economically disadvantaged populations throughout Nepal.
