Company Overview
Rastriya Jeewan Beema Company Limited traces its origin to Rastriya Beema Sansthan, which was established by the Government of Nepal on Poush 1, 2024 B.S. with the objective of mobilizing domestic capital for national economic development, reducing foreign currency outflow, and establishing a professional insurance institution.
The institution commenced non-life insurance operations on Falgun 11, 2024 B.S. and expanded into life insurance business in 2029 B.S., becoming Nepal's first provider of life insurance services.
Following the implementation of the Insurance Act, 2049 B.S., which prohibited a single institution from conducting both life and non-life insurance businesses, the organization has operated exclusively as a life insurance institution since Jestha 2071 B.S.
In accordance with the Insurance Act, 2079 B.S., which repealed the Rastriya Beema Sansthan Act, 2025 B.S., the institution was formally converted into Rastriya Jeewan Beema Company Limited, a public limited company, on 20 Kartik 2080 B.S.
Today, the company continues its historic mission of protecting lives, promoting financial security, and strengthening Nepal's insurance sector.
