Siddhartha Bank Announces Auction of Mortgaged Assets in Butwal

Siddhartha Bank Limited, Butwal Branch, Rupandehi, has published a 15-day notice inviting sealed bids for the auction of movable and immovable assets pledged as collateral for loans.

The notice, published in the Arthik Rastriya Dainik on Ashoj 21, 2083 (October 7, 2026), states that the concerned borrowers and guarantors failed to repay the principal, installments, interest and other outstanding amounts despite repeated oral and written requests from the bank.

The bank had previously published a 35-day public notice on Baisakh 21, 2080, calling on the borrowers and guarantors to settle their outstanding loan obligations. As the liabilities remained unpaid, the bank has proceeded with the auction of the collateral pledged by the borrowers and guarantors.

The assets will be sold through sealed tender bids, in their existing condition, in accordance with the Bank and Financial Institutions Act, 2073, directives issued by Nepal Rastra Bank, and the bank's applicable rules and procedures.

Interested individuals and entities can submit sealed bids subject to the terms and conditions specified in the notice.

The bank has also stated that the auction process can be halted if the concerned borrowers or guarantors settle all outstanding dues and fully clear the loan before the scheduled auction date.

If the mortgaged assets are not purchased through the auction, the bank may acquire the assets itself in accordance with the provisions of the Bank and Financial Institutions Act, 2073.
