Nabil Bank Limited has issued a seven-day public notice inviting sealed bids for the auction of movable and immovable properties pledged as collateral by borrowers through its Siraha Bazaar Branch in Siraha district.
The notice, published on Ashwin 21, 2083 (October 7, 2026), states that the concerned borrowers and guarantors failed to repay outstanding principal and interest despite repeated oral and written reminders from the bank. A 35-day public notice demanding repayment had previously been published in Arthik Dainik on Shrawan 6, 2081, but the outstanding loan obligations remained unsettled.
According to the bank, the pledged properties will be auctioned through a confidential sealed-bid process to recover the bank's outstanding dues, in accordance with prevailing laws, including the Banks and Financial Institutions Act, 2073 and the bank's rules.
Individuals, firms, companies and other organized institutions interested in purchasing the collateral properties have been invited to submit duly completed sealed-bid applications within seven days from the date of publication of the notice, during office hours. If the deadline falls on a public holiday, applications may be submitted on the next working day.
Sealed bids can be submitted to Nabil Bank's Central Office, Credit Recovery Department, Bijuli Bazar, Kathmandu, or to the Siraha Bazaar Branch, Siraha.
The bank has also informed the concerned borrowers and guarantors that the auction process may be stopped if they appear at the bank before the auction date and settle all outstanding dues and clear the loan.
If the properties cannot be sold through the auction, or if no bidder accepts the properties, the bank may acquire the properties itself in accordance with the Banks and Financial Institutions Act, 2073.
The bank further stated that if the proceeds from the auction are insufficient to recover the entire outstanding amount, the remaining dues may be recovered from other movable and immovable assets of the borrowers and guarantors in accordance with applicable laws, including the Debt Recovery Act, 2058 and its regulations.
