Nabil Bank Limited, Kumariipati Branch, Lalitpur, has invited sealed bids for the auction of movable and immovable properties pledged as collateral against outstanding loans.
According to a seven-day public notice published on September 30, 2026, the bank has initiated the auction process after the concerned borrowers and guarantors failed to settle the outstanding principal and interest despite repeated verbal and written reminders.
The bank had previously published a 35-day public notice on June 20, 2024, calling on the borrowers and guarantors to clear their outstanding loan obligations. However, the dues remained unpaid.
As a result, the bank has decided to sell the collateral properties through a confidential sealed-bid process in accordance with the prevailing laws, including the Banks and Financial Institutions Act, 2073, and the bank's applicable rules and procedures.
Interested individuals, firms, companies and other eligible organizations can obtain and submit the sealed bid form within seven days from the date of publication of the notice. If the deadline falls on a public holiday, bids can be submitted on the next working day when the bank's office reopens.
Sealed bids must be submitted during office hours to either the Loan Recovery Department at Nabil Bank's Central Office, Bijuli Bazar, Kathmandu, or the Kumariipati Branch, Lalitpur, subject to the terms and conditions specified in the bid form.
The bank has also stated that the auction process may be stopped if the concerned borrowers, guarantors or related parties settle the entire outstanding dues and clear the loan before the auction date.
If the properties fail to attract a successful bidder or are not sold through the auction, the bank may acquire the properties itself in accordance with the Banks and Financial Institutions Act, 2073.
Furthermore, if the proceeds from the auction are insufficient to recover the bank's total outstanding amount, the remaining dues may be recovered from other movable and immovable assets of the borrowers and guarantors in accordance with the prevailing laws, including the Debt Recovery Act, 2058 and its regulations.
