Everest Bank Reports 4.75% Profit Growth, Asset Quality Remains Among Nepal's Best

Everest Bank Limited reported a 4.75% year-on-year increase in net profit for FY 2025/26, reflecting steady financial performance despite a challenging banking environment. The bank continued to maintain one of the lowest non-performing loan (NPL) ratios in Nepal at 0.49%, underscoring its strong asset quality and prudent risk management.

Loan disbursements grew by 10.37%, while deposits increased by 5.76%, indicating continued business expansion. Non-interest income, particularly fee and commission income, also recorded healthy growth, helping diversify the bank's revenue base. However, key shareholder return indicators, including Earnings Per Share (EPS), Return on Equity (ROE), and Return on Assets (ROA) declined modestly, suggesting that profitability growth has been relatively moderate.

The latest financial results highlight a bank with solid fundamentals, stable operations, and strong credit quality, while investors are likely to closely watch improvements in profitability and capital efficiency in the coming quarters.
