According to a public notice issued by the companies, the merged institution will operate under the name Pokhara Finance Limited in both Nepali and English. The merger has received all the required regulatory approvals from the Nepal Rastra Bank, the Office of the Company Registrar, and the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON).
As part of the merger process, Pokhara Finance Limited will assume all the assets, liabilities, loans, deposits, and other obligations of Samriddhi Finance Company Limited. The decision to merge was approved by the annual general meetings of both financial institutions held on Magh 14, 2082 BS.
The newly merged Pokhara Finance Limited will continue operating as a Class 'C' licensed financial institution under Nepal Rastra Bank. The institution's central office will be located at Putalisadak, Ward No. 28, Kathmandu Metropolitan City, the former head office of Samriddhi Finance Company Limited.
To facilitate data migration and other technical integration activities, all banking services of both Pokhara Finance Limited and Samriddhi Finance Company Limited will remain temporarily suspended on Thursday, July 9, 2026 (Ashad 25, 2083 BS). The temporary closure will apply to the head offices as well as all branch offices of both institutions.
The management has apologized for the inconvenience caused by the one-day service interruption and requested customers, shareholders, regulators, and other stakeholders for their understanding and cooperation during the integration process.
The integrated operations are expected to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen the financial institution's ability to serve customers across Nepal following the merger.
