Kathmandu: Everest Bank Limited (EBL) has announced that several of its branch offices will remain operational during the upcoming public holiday of Bakra Eid (Eid-ul-Adha) to provide uninterrupted, essential banking services to its customers. According to the official notice, while the bank will observe the public holiday on Thursday, May 28, 2026 (Jestha 14, 2083 B.S.), designated counter services will run from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM across all provinces. The open branches include Kanchanbari in Koshi Province, Birgunj in Madhesh Province, Teku, Bagdol, and Bhaktapur in Bagmati Province, Amarsingh in Gandaki Province, Nepalgunj in Lumbini Province, and Dhangadhi in Sudurpashchim Province. Customers visiting these locations can access crucial services such as Nepali currency cash deposits and withdrawals, domestic ECC/RTGS transfers, and foreign currency exchange based on availability. Additionally, the bank confirmed that the central clearing unit will remain active for processing ConnectIPS and IPS transactions, while customs offices in Birgunj (ICD) and Nepalgunj (ICP) will follow their respective operational schedules.
