Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank Issues Notice to Close Multiple Savings Accounts Under One Name -

As per Clause 45 of the Unified Directive 079/080 issued by the Nepal Rastra Bank, banks and financial institutions are not allowed to maintain more than one savings account of the same nature in foreign currency under the name of a single individual (except in cases permitted by the central bank).

Accordingly, customers who currently maintain more than one foreign currency savings account of the same type at Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank are kindly requested to visit the nearest branch and retain only one active account. Other similar accounts will need to be closed as per regulatory requirements.

The bank respectfully requests concerned customers to complete this process at their earliest convenience.
