Kathmandu, Nepal — NIC ASIA Bank Ltd. has announced a vacancy for the position of Gold Tester, seeking qualified and interested candidates to join its network of branches both inside and outside the Kathmandu Valley.
According to the bank, a total of 31 positions are available, and the employment will be on a contractual basis.
Inside Kathmandu Valley:
New Road–Bishal Bazar, Kamaladi, Chabahil, Baneshwor, Tripureswor, Pulchowk, Satdobato, Bouddha, Samakhushi, Bhaktapur, and Corporate Office Branch.
Outside Kathmandu Valley:
Banepa, Narayangarh, Hetauda, Dharan, Damak, Birtamod, Itahari, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Birgunj, Lahan, Bardibas, Pokhara, Newroad Pokhara, Butwal, Bhairahawa, Nepalgunj, Tulsipur, Surkhet, and Dhangadi.
Candidates must have completed the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) or equivalent.
Applicants should have at least 2 years of relevant experience or be an accredited/Certified Gold Tester from a recognized certifying agency.
Age must be between 18 and 45 years.
The Gold Tester will be responsible for verifying the purity and authenticity of gold, assessing its value, and ensuring accurate evaluation for Gold Loan processing. Additional tasks include maintaining proper records, adhering to standard testing procedures, coordinating with branch staff, and ensuring compliance with the bank's operational guidelines.
NIC ASIA Bank stated that shortlisted candidates will be required to provide documentary proof of their qualifications and experience. Only candidates selected for the shortlist will be contacted for the next phase of the recruitment process.
The bank also emphasized that it reserves the right to reject any application without providing a reason. Any form of canvassing will lead to immediate disqualification.
