Laxmi Capital Market was incorporated and began providing merchant banking services as a subsidiary of Laxmi Bank Limited.

10 February 2017

Following the acquisition of NIDC Capital Markets Limited by Sunrise Bank Limited, Sunrise Capital began operating as the merchant banking subsidiary of Sunrise Bank Limited.

5 October 2023

Laxmi Capital and Sunrise Capital formally merged, bringing together their expertise, capabilities, and institutional strengths.

8 January 2024

The merged entity officially commenced operations as Laxmi Sunrise Capital Limited, combining the experience, legacy, and service portfolio of both organizations to better serve Nepal's investment and capital market.
