Nabil Bank Issues 35-Day Loan Repayment Notice to Borrowers in Bara

Nabil Bank Limited’s Birgunj Jeetpur Branch in Bara has issued a 35-day public notice directing specified borrowers to repay their outstanding loans, including principal, interest, penalty interest and other applicable charges.

The notice, published on October 13, 2026 (Ashoj 27, 2083), states that the concerned borrowers have failed to meet their repayment obligations in accordance with the terms and conditions of their loan agreements and loan approval letters.

According to the bank, repeated verbal and written reminders have not resulted in the settlement of the outstanding liabilities. The bank has therefore asked the borrowers, collateral providers and other guarantors to contact the branch and clear all outstanding dues within 35 days from the date of publication of the notice.

The bank has warned that failure to repay the outstanding amount within the stipulated period may result in the auction and sale of the pledged collateral. If the collateral cannot be sold, the bank may take possession of the property as a non-banking asset or adopt other legally permitted measures to recover its dues.

Nabil Bank further stated that if the proceeds from the collateral are insufficient to cover the outstanding loan, it may pursue recovery of the remaining amount from the borrowers, collateral providers and other guarantors, including through the sale of their other movable and immovable assets, in accordance with the Bank and Financial Institution Act, 2017, and other applicable laws.

The bank also warned that it may file claims with the Debt Recovery Tribunal and other competent judicial authorities and initiate procedures to blacklist the borrowers and guarantors through the Credit Information Centre.

Collateral providers and other guarantors have also been given the opportunity to settle the guaranteed loan, along with applicable interest and charges, within the specified period and obtain the release of their collateral and guarantees.

The bank has cautioned that failure to settle the outstanding liabilities may lead to further recovery proceedings, including the auction of pledged assets and blacklisting through the Credit Information Centre.
