Global IME Bank Issues 35-Day Public Notice to Loan Defaulters

Global IME Bank Limited has issued a 35-day public notice urging borrowers who have failed to repay their loans to settle their outstanding dues.

The notice, published in the Annapurna Post national daily on October 12, 2026 (Ashoj 26, 2083), states that the borrowers concerned have violated their loan agreements by failing to pay principal, interest, penalties and other applicable charges within the stipulated time.

According to the bank, repeated written and verbal reminders have not resulted in the repayment of the outstanding loans. The notice has therefore been issued to the concerned borrowers and their personal, institutional and collateral guarantors, requesting them to clear all outstanding liabilities.

The bank has asked the concerned parties to contact the bank and settle their entire outstanding amounts within 35 days from the date of publication of the notice.

Global IME Bank has warned that failure to comply within the specified period may result in the auction or sale of movable and immovable assets pledged as collateral, or other recovery measures in accordance with the loan agreements and applicable legal provisions.

The bank has also stated that the names of the concerned borrowers and other relevant parties may be recommended for inclusion on the Credit Information Centre's blacklist in accordance with Nepal Rastra Bank's unified directives, circulars and notices.

Furthermore, if the outstanding liabilities cannot be recovered through the pledged collateral, the bank may pursue recovery from the other movable and immovable assets of the borrowers and guarantors, as permitted under the Bank and Financial Institution Act, 2017, the Debt Recovery Act, 2002, the related regulations and other prevailing laws of Nepal.

The notice serves as a formal call for the concerned borrowers and guarantors to settle their dues within the prescribed deadline to avoid further recovery proceedings.
