Nabil Bank Calls for Sealed Bids to Auction Collateral in Dhading

Nabil Bank Limited’s Galchhi Branch in Dhading has invited sealed bids for the auction of movable and immovable properties pledged as collateral against loans that remain unpaid despite repeated requests for repayment.

According to a 15-day public auction notice published on October 12, 2026 (Ashoj 26, 2083), the bank initiated the auction process after borrowers and guarantors failed to settle outstanding principal and interest in accordance with their loan agreements.

The bank stated that it had previously issued verbal and written repayment reminders and published a 35-day public notice in the Naya Patrika national daily on August 28, 2023 (Bhadra 12, 2080). However, the borrowers and guarantors did not clear their outstanding liabilities.

Interested individuals, firms, companies and other registered organizations can submit duly completed sealed-bid applications to Nabil Bank’s Galchhi Branch in Dhading within 15 days of the notice’s publication. If the final day falls on a public holiday, applications may be submitted on the next working day.

The bids must comply with the terms and conditions specified in the bid forms and reach the branch within office hours before the deadline.

The bank has also stated that the auction can be halted if the borrowers or guarantors settle all outstanding dues before the auction takes place.

If the properties cannot be sold through the auction, or no bidder agrees to purchase them, the bank may acquire the collateral itself in accordance with the Bank and Financial Institution Act, 2017.

Furthermore, if the auction proceeds are insufficient to recover the bank’s total outstanding dues, the remaining amount may be recovered from the borrowers’ and guarantors’ other movable and immovable assets, as permitted under applicable laws, including the Bank and Financial Institution Act, 2017, and the Debt Recovery Act, 2002.

The notice does not specify the properties’ details, valuation or bidding deadline in the information provided. Interested bidders should consult the official auction notice and contact Nabil Bank’s Galchhi Branch for further details.
