IME Life Insurance Company Limited has announced the sale of 1,000 promoter shares, giving its existing promoter shareholders the first opportunity to purchase them.
In a notice published on October 9, 2026 (Ashoj 23, 2083), the company invited interested existing promoter shareholders to submit applications within 35 days of the notice's publication.
The decision to sell the shares was made at the company's 254th Board of Directors meeting held on October 7, 2026 (Ashoj 21, 2083). The sale will be carried out in accordance with prevailing laws and the Insurance Authority's Insurer Promoter Share Transaction Directive, 2020.
Interested shareholders must submit a formal application stating their proposed price for the 1,000 shares through a confidential sealed bid. Applications must include the necessary documents demonstrating compliance with the Nepal Insurance Authority's Fit and Proper Test requirements.
Applications can be submitted during office hours at the company's registered and corporate office or at the registered office of its share registrar, Global IME Capital Limited, in Naxal, Kathmandu.
The company has clarified that if no applications are received from existing promoter shareholders within the specified 35-day period, it may proceed with the sale of the shares to other individuals or institutions, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
