Global IME Bank Issues 35-Day Public Notice to Loan Defaulters

Global IME Bank Limited has issued a 35-day public notice urging the borrowers and guarantors listed in the notice to clear their outstanding loans and related dues.

The notice, published on October 8, 2026, states that the concerned borrowers have failed to pay principal, interest, penalties and other applicable charges as required under their loan agreements and related documents.

According to the bank, repeated written and verbal requests for repayment have not resulted in the settlement of the outstanding amounts. The bank has therefore called on the concerned borrowers, as well as individual and institutional guarantors and collateral guarantors, to settle all outstanding liabilities.

The borrowers have been given 35 days from the date of publication of the notice to contact the bank and pay the outstanding principal, interest, penalties and other charges in full.

The bank warned that failure to settle the dues within the stipulated period could result in the auction or sale of movable and immovable collateral pledged against the loans, or other recovery measures in accordance with the agreements, documents and prevailing laws.

Global IME Bank also stated that the concerned parties may be recommended for inclusion on the Credit Information Centre's blacklist, in accordance with the directives, circulars and notices issued by Nepal Rastra Bank.

If the outstanding amount cannot be fully recovered from the pledged collateral, the bank said it would proceed to recover the remaining dues from other movable and immovable assets of the borrowers and guarantors, as permitted under the Bank and Financial Institution Act, 2017, the Debt Recovery Act, 2002, its regulations, and other applicable laws.

The notice serves as a final public call for the concerned borrowers and guarantors to settle their outstanding loan obligations within the 35-day deadline.
