Nabil Bank Limited has announced the auction of mortgaged properties belonging to borrowers who have failed to clear their outstanding loan liabilities despite repeated notices and reminders.
The bank has invited confidential sealed bids for 15 days for properties held as collateral under its Bhairahawa Branch in Rupandehi and Kirtipur Branch in Kathmandu.
Interested individuals, firms, companies and organizations can submit their sealed bids within 15 days of the notice's publication, during office hours. Bids for the Bhairahawa properties can be submitted at Nabil Bank's Loan Recovery Department at Bijuli Bazar, Kathmandu, or its Bhairahawa Branch. Bids for Kirtipur properties must be submitted at the Kirtipur Branch.
The bank said borrowers and guarantors can stop the auction by clearing all outstanding dues and settling the loans before the auction date.
If the properties are not sold through the sealed-bid process, the bank may acquire them itself as permitted by law. If the auction proceeds do not fully recover the outstanding amount, the bank may seek recovery from other assets of the borrowers and guarantors under prevailing laws.
