Nepal Rastra Bank has emphasized the importance of financial literacy for household, small and micro entrepreneurs to ensure sustainable business growth and sound financial decision-making.
According to the central bank, entrepreneurs should have knowledge of business planning, capital management, savings and financial services, record-keeping, cash-flow management, taxation, insurance and risk diversification. They should also understand the changing financial environment, customer rights and available grievance-handling mechanisms.
NRB has noted that stronger financial literacy can contribute to better financial behavior and improve the financial well-being of small borrowers and entrepreneurs.
