Kathmandu: As digital banking and online payment services continue to expand across Nepal, the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has urged the public to adopt strong digital financial security practices to protect their accounts and personal information from cyber threats.
With the widespread use of internet banking, mobile banking, QR code payments, and digital wallets, people can now perform financial transactions anytime and from anywhere using smartphones, computers, or internet browsers. While these services offer greater convenience, faster transactions, lower costs, and improved access to e-commerce and government services, they also increase the importance of maintaining good digital security habits.
NRB emphasized that every user is personally responsible for safeguarding their username, password, PIN, and One-Time Password (OTP) by following proper digital financial discipline.
