Prabhu Bank has issued a 15-day public notice inviting interested buyers to submit sealed bids for the purchase of its used vehicles. The vehicles, which are currently registered under the bank's name, will be sold on an "as-is, where-is" basis through a confidential sealed bidding process.
According to the notice, eligible individuals and organizations can obtain the bid application form from the bank's Head Office at Babarmahal, Kathmandu, or from its branch offices. The application form is available for a non-refundable fee of NPR 2,000 per vehicle.
Bidders are required to clearly mention their quoted price in both figures and words. Each bid must also include a bid security equivalent to at least 10% of the quoted amount, either in the form of a bank guarantee issued by a Class "A" commercial bank or by depositing the amount into the bank's designated account and submitting the original deposit voucher.
Individual applicants must provide a copy of their citizenship certificate, while organizations are required to submit copies of their registration certificate and Permanent Account Number (PAN) certificate.
The bank has stated that prospective buyers may inspect the vehicles during office hours before submitting their bids by contacting the bank in advance.
Successful bidders must complete payment and transfer ownership of the vehicle within 15 days of receiving the acceptance notice. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of the bid and forfeiture of the security deposit. Registration fees, ownership transfer charges, taxes, and other applicable expenses will be the responsibility of the successful bidder.
The bank also noted that bids submitted after the deadline or those that do not meet the required conditions will be rejected. It has reserved the right to accept or reject any bid without assigning any reason.
Interested buyers are encouraged to carefully review the bidding conditions before submitting their sealed quotations.
