KATHMANDU: Himalayan Bank Limited (HBL) has issued an urgent public notice announcing the merger and consolidation of six of its branch offices, effective from Ashwin 1, 2083 BS (September 17, 2026). According to the central office's General Administration Department in Kamaladi, Kathmandu, this structural adjustment aims to integrate operations, and the bank has requested affected customers to visit the newly designated post-merger branches to access all regular banking services. The bank has also expressed its sincere apologies to customers and service seekers for any inconvenience caused by this transition.
Under the new arrangement, the Ganjabhawanipur Branch (Mahagadhimai Municipality-10, Bara) is merging into the Kalaiya Branch (Kalaiya Sub-Metropolitan City-4, Bank Road, Bara). The Chandranigahapur Branch (Chandrapur Municipality-4, Main Road, Rautahat) will be integrated into the Nijgadh Branch (Nijgadh Municipality-9, Sahid Chowk, Bara). Customers of the Dhalkebar Branch (Mithila Municipality-6, Dhalkebar, Dhanusha) are advised to migrate to the Bardibas Branch (Bardibas Municipality-1, Bardibas, Mahottari). Meanwhile, the Janakpur Branch (Janakpur Sub-Metropolitan City-1, Station Road, Dhanusha) will merge into the Pidari Chowk Branch (Janakpur Sub-Metropolitan City-8, Pidari Chowk, Dhanusha). Lastly, both the Dhangadhimai Branch (Dhangadhimai Municipality-10, Siraha) and the Golbazar Branch (Golbazar Municipality-4, Siraha) are being consolidated into the Lahan Branch (Lahan Municipality-1, Siraha).
