NMB Bank has issued a public notice requesting depositors and their legal heirs to contact the bank and claim funds held in deposit accounts that have remained inactive and unclaimed for ten years or more.
The notice has been published in accordance with Directive No. 16/079, Clause 3(4) of the Unified Directives 2079 issued by the Nepal Rastra Bank's Bank and Financial Institutions Regulation Department.
According to the bank, several deposit accounts have remained dormant for more than a decade without any transactions or claims from account holders. Customers concerned, as well as their legal heirs, are requested to visit the respective NMB Bank branch offices with the necessary supporting documents to verify ownership and complete the claim process.
NMB Bank has also informed that the list of inactive and unclaimed deposit accounts can be viewed through the Notice and Media section under the Notice category on the bank's official website.
The bank encouraged all concerned individuals to review the published information and take the necessary steps to claim any eligible deposits. The notice aims to ensure that depositors' funds are properly identified and made available to their rightful owners in line with regulatory requirements.
NMB Bank stated that customers seeking further information may contact their nearest branch office for assistance regarding dormant and unclaimed deposit accounts.
