Siddhartha Bank Limited, one of the prominent commercial banks in Nepal, has announced a major change regarding its capital market services for retail depositors. The bank has officially discontinued its free C-ASBA (Centralized Application Supported by Blocked Amount) facility for several of its premium and specialized saving accounts.
According to an official public notice issued by the bank, the revision in the fee structure comes into effect from May 27, 2026 (Jestha 13, 2083).
Affected Saving Account Schemes
The free C-ASBA feature has been terminated for the following specific saving accounts managed by Siddhartha Bank:
- Siddhartha Platinum Saving Account
- Siddhartha Mero Share Saving Account
- Siddhartha Platinum Plus Saving Account
- Siddhartha Horizon Saving Account
- Siddhartha Gen Z Saving Account
Prior to this adjustment, account holders of these premium categories enjoyed a waiver on C-ASBA fees while applying for Initial Public Offerings (IPOs), Further Public Offerings (FPOs), and Right Shares through the MeroShare platform. Following this decision, standard banking regulatory or internal charges will apply to all subsequent IPO and stock market applications made through these accounts.
