The Board of Directors meeting of Nepal Investment Mega Bank held on Baisakh 30 decided to assign the responsibilities of Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to Mahesh Sharma Dhakal, who currently serves as the Senior Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DCEO).
The bank’s CEO, Jyoti Prakash Pandey, was taken into police custody for investigation in connection with the Smart Telecom case. According to the bank’s Chief of Finance and Planning Department, as the investigation is still ongoing, all administrative and banking operational responsibilities previously handled by Pandey will now be carried out through Acting CEO Dhakal.
