Kathmandu : Everest Bank Limited has announced a vacancy for the position of Gold Tester, inviting applications from qualified and experienced Nepali citizens. The bank plans to recruit a few candidates on a contractual basis for its offices within the Kathmandu Valley.
According to the official notice, applicants must have at least an SLC/SEE qualification. Candidates with vocational training or certification in gold/jewelry appraisal or assaying will have an added advantage. Additionally, a minimum of three years of work experience as a Gold Tester in “A”, “B”, or “C” class banks and financial institutions licensed by Nepal Rastra Bank is mandatory. Applicants must also be above 30 years of age as of the application deadline.
Preference will be given to candidates with hands-on experience in gold testing and precious metal appraisal, along with basic computer knowledge and record-keeping skills. The bank also emphasizes the importance of strong communication, teamwork abilities, and high personal integrity with a zero-tolerance approach toward fraud.
Salary and benefits will be negotiable based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted individually and required to go through an interview followed by a practical test.
Interested candidates can apply online through the bank’s official career portal or submit their application along with CV and relevant documents to the Human Resource Department at the bank’s Head Office in Lazimpat, Kathmandu.
The deadline for application is 31st Baishakh, 2083 (14th May 2026). Everest Bank has stated that it reserves the right to reject any or all applications without assigning any reason, and any attempt to influence the recruitment process will lead to disqualification.
