ADBL Announces Vacancy for VITA Program Positions

Kathmandu, Dec 17, 2025 — Agricultural Development Bank Limited (ADBL) has published a vacancy announcement for qualified Nepali professionals under the Value Chains for Inclusive Transformation of Agriculture Program (VITA). The notice was first published on December 17, 2025.

The VITA Program is being implemented by ADBL as the lead program agency with grant support from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). The project is currently operational in Bagmati, Lumbini and Madhesh provinces, covering 28 districts, with the objective of improving livelihoods and nutrition of poor and vulnerable communities. The program also aims to strengthen agricultural farm enterprises by enhancing production, market linkages and access to rural financial services. The Government of Nepal has identified VITA as a high-priority project and has allocated funds through its annual budget and programs.

According to the notice, applications are invited for a total of four positions. ADBL is seeking three Supply Chain Officers, who will be based at provincial offices or the head office with frequent field visits to project areas. Candidates must hold a master’s degree in agricultural sciences, business administration, agribusiness development, economics or an equivalent field with at least three years of experience. Alternatively, candidates with a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years’ experience in supply chain development, business promotion, private sector development, social sector or NGOs/INGOs are also eligible.

Similarly, one Assistant Finance Officer will be recruited for the Finance and Planning Department at ADBL’s Head Office. Applicants must have a master’s degree in commerce, accountancy or business management with at least one year of experience, or a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three years’ experience in financial accounting of a project or company.

ADBL has stated that preference will be given to women candidates and individuals from disadvantaged groups, including Dalit, Janajati/Indigenous, Madhesi and Muslim communities.

Interested candidates are required to apply online within 15 days from the date of publication, no later than December 31, 2025. Detailed Terms of Reference (ToR), qualifications, experience requirements, benefits and other entitlements can be accessed through ADBL’s official website.

The bank has clarified that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for further selection processes. The appointments will be valid until the end of the current fiscal year, with the possibility of extension based on satisfactory performance and project requirements. Canvassing at any stage of the recruitment process will result in automatic disqualification, and no telephone inquiries will be entertained.
