Machhapuchchhre Bank Announces Vacancy for Business Intelligence Officer

Kathmandu: Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited, an “A” class commercial bank of Nepal, has announced a vacancy for the position of Business Intelligence Officer (Junior Officer to Senior Officer level). The bank is seeking a competent, result-oriented, and self-motivated Nepalese citizen to join its data and analytics division.

According to the notice, the selected candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing business intelligence solutions that transform complex data into actionable insights to support decision-making across the organization. The role involves hands-on experience in data visualization, analysis, and machine learning, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive strategic business outcomes.

To be eligible, applicants must have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline from a recognized university. A Master’s degree in a related field will be preferred. The age limit for applicants is 35 years as of the final date of application submission. Candidates must also have a minimum of three years of professional experience in data analytics or business intelligence, with proven expertise in developing and implementing enterprise-scale reports and dashboards.

Candidates are expected to be proficient in SQL, Python (including libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow), or R, along with experience using visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI. Knowledge of big data platforms such as Hadoop, PySpark, or Databricks and familiarity with AI and machine learning applications will be an added advantage.

The bank has highlighted leadership, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and team management as essential competencies for the role. Candidates with prior experience in the banking sector, particularly in risk management and regulatory compliance, will be preferred.
