Kathmandu, April 17 – The Oriental Insurance Company Limited, a leading general insurance company operating in Nepal under the aegis of the Government of India, has announced a call for applications for six Associate positions. The opportunity is open to energetic and committed Nepali citizens looking to work in the insurance sector.
According to the official notice, the vacancies are available in the company’s various offices across Nepal. The positions are categorized into two groups: General Associates and IT Specialist Associates.
For General Associate posts, applicants must be graduates with at least 60% marks in any discipline from a recognized university. Preference will be given to those with technical qualifications in General Insurance or Chartered Accountancy. Candidates must also possess excellent communication skills and proficiency in Nepali, Hindi, and English, along with good computer skills and Microsoft Office experience.
For IT Specialist roles, candidates must have a graduation in IT (preferred qualifications include BSc CSIT, BIT, BCA, BIM, or BCSIT) with at least 60%. Mandatory skills include typing in both Nepali and English, hardware/software proficiency, and prior experience in IT or the insurance sector.
Applicants must be between 21 to 30 years of age as of March 31, 2025. The selection process involves a written test, typing test, and an interview for those who qualify.
The date of the written test will be announced on the company’s website at least one week before the exam schedule. Only candidates who pass the written exam will be invited for interviews via email.
The company offers a structured remuneration scale starting at Rs. 41,100 with multiple increments leading up to Rs. 78,300 at the 21st stage. Additional benefits include leave encashment, LTS, and access to vehicle and housing loans, subject to company norms.
