NMB Bank Limited has announced the issuance and sale of "NMB Debenture 10.75% - 2089/2090" bonds at an annual interest rate of 10.75% for a period of 10 years starting from the 21st of Chaitra. The bank plans to issue 4 million units of bonds at a face value of NPR 1,000 each, totaling NPR 4 billion.
Of the 4 million units, 60% or 2.4 million units worth NPR 2.4 billion will be allocated for individuals, while the remaining 40% or 1.6 million units worth NPR 1.6 billion will be allocated for the general public. Among the 1.6 million units available for public subscription, 45,000 units have already been sold.
The investment issuer can apply for a minimum of 25 units and a maximum of 1.6 million units in the bond prospectus through the bank's debenture issuance and sales manager, NIBL Capital Limited. The issuer can also apply for participation in the ASBA service after receiving approval from the Nepal Bond Board, along with banks and financial institutions, their designated branch offices, and CDS and Clearing Limited, using my share generated through online.
Icra Nepal has provided the bank with an ICRA NP issuer rating, indicating a low credit risk for the debentures. The interest earned on the bond will be subject to tax after the first and second semi-annual financial year, and payment will be made after deducting the tax.
