Sagarmatha Hydroelectric Company Limited has launched an initial public offering (IPO) for public subscription from today (Chairta 8). The company had earlier issued 4,368,000 units of IPO for locals residing in the affected area and Nepali citizens employed abroad, which was oversubscribed. The company has now started issuing IPOs to the general public after the IPO issued for locals and Nepali citizens employed abroad was fully subscribed. The company has issued 4,368,000 units of shares at a face value of Rs. 100 per share, out of which 10% or 436,800 shares have been allocated for employees of the company, and 5% or 218,400 shares have been allocated for collective investment funds. The remaining 3,581,760 units are available for application by the general public. The minimum application is for 10 units, and the maximum is for 10,000 units. The IPO will close on Chaitra 12 at the earliest and on Chaitra 22 at the latest, depending on the response from the public. The IPO has been rated ICRA Nepal.
