A leading bank in Nepal has announced a vacancy for the position of Head of Information Technology (IT). The job code for the position is SBL-IT-001/79, and the posting date is 15th March 2023. The position is for one person and falls under Deputy Manager/Manager/Senior Manager level. The candidate must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/Computer Engineering/Electronics Engineering with at least nine years of relevant work experience or a Master's degree in the same field with at least six years of relevant work experience. The job profile of the Head of IT includes planning and preparing short-term and long-term ICT strategies, reviewing and updating the bank's ICT policy, and monitoring overall ICT-related tasks. The candidate will also prepare documents for the bank's ICT-related contracts and support service license agreements with vendors, oversee the human capacity planning for ICT-related tasks, and ensure proactive management of the bank's data centers and disaster site.
The candidate should possess knowledge of the latest Central Bank regulatory framework and Nepal government ICT Act, development of project plan (PMP) and its execution, functionality of Core Banking System modules (Finacle) and its platform, design and development on the Bank ICT Policy and its procedures, and overall knowledge of BCP process and its associated steps/tasks.
