Global IME Bank Limited and the former Bank of Kathmandu Limited have completed their merger, and as a result, some branch offices operating in the same location will be adjusted and transferred. The merger will come into effect on the 28th of Falgun 2079, and the branches will operate in a unified manner from that date. The bank has published a notice to inform all concerned parties.
The transaction notice mentions that the accounts of the customers in the previous branch office will be transferred to the branch office where the service will continue. This ensures that customers' accounts will not be affected by the merger.
One of the Bank of Kathmandu branches that is already in operation is Sunderbazar Na.Pa. Ward no. 7, Lamjung, and its name will remain the same after the merger. The branch that will be operating after the merger is Sundarbazar Branch, Milanchowk, Sundarbazar N.P. 6, Lamjung.
Similarly, one of the Global IME Bank branches already in operation is Anamnagar, Kathmandu. Ward No. 29, Kathmandu, and its name will remain the same after the merger. The branch that will be in operation after amalgamation is Anamnagar, Kathmandu Metropolitan Municipality Ward No. 29, Kathmandu.
The bank has informed its customers of these changes through a notification. The merger of these two banks is expected to result in a stronger and more efficient bank that can better serve its customers.
