NESDO Sambridha Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. (NSLBSL) is a national-level Class 'D' Microfinance Financial Institution established to expand financial inclusion and improve access to sustainable financial services for low-income and underserved communities across Nepal. The institution is promoted by the National Educational & Social Development Organization (NESDO Nepal), a recognized organization dedicated to social and community development.
NSLBSL was incorporated as a Public Limited Company under the Companies Act, 2063 and operates within the regulatory framework of the Bank and Financial Institutions Act (BFIA), 2073. The institution is licensed to operate as a National-Level Class 'D' Microfinance Institution, delivering responsible and inclusive financial services under the supervision of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB).
Ownership and Capital Structure
NSLBSL has an authorized capital of NPR 50 Crore and an issued and paid-up capital of NPR 29,13,37,500.
The institution is promoted by a diverse group of shareholders, including institutional and individual investors:
National Educational & Social Development Organization (NESDO Nepal) holds 47.06% of the total share capital.
The remaining ownership consists of Prabhu Bank and 81 individual promoters representing various sectors of Nepalese society.
In total, 83 promoters are associated with the institution.

Operational History
NESDO Sambridha Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. officially commenced operations on 5 March 2019. On the same date, all microfinance programs and activities previously operated by NESDO Nepal were transferred to NSLBSL, enabling the institution to continue and expand its mission under a regulated microfinance framework.
Since its establishment, NSLBSL has focused on providing accessible financial services to economically disadvantaged households, particularly those living in rural and remote areas of Nepal.
Serving Rural and Ultra-Poor Communities
Today, NSLBSL serves approximately 78,000 ultra-poor families through a network of 60 branch offices operating across 14 districts of Nepal.
By extending financial services to remote and underserved communities, the institution contributes to financial inclusion, livelihood improvement, and local economic development while supporting entrepreneurship and income-generating activities among low-income households.
