Promoted by leading commercial banks, development banks, financial institutions, and distinguished individual investors, NLBSL began its operations in 2014 with the objective of delivering accessible, responsible, and sustainable microfinance services across Nepal.
The institution was incorporated as a public limited company on 31 October 2013 and received its operating license from Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) on 11 June 2014 as a Class 'D' Licensed Financial Institution. Since its establishment, NLBSL has remained committed to building a strong, reliable, and customer-focused microfinance institution that contributes to Nepal's inclusive economic growth.
