Kathmandu - The Government of Nepal has appointed Dirgha Rawal as Deputy Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) for a five-year term. The Cabinet made the decision at its meeting on Wednesday, appointing Rawal, who was serving as Executive Director of the central bank’s Bank Supervision Department.
Dirgha Rawal Appointed as NRB Deputy Governor
The Cabinet has appointed Rawal as one of the two Deputy Governors of Nepal Rastra Bank. The appointment fills the second Deputy Governor position that had remained vacant.
Under the Nepal Rastra Bank Act, 2058, the central bank has two Deputy Governors. One of the positions was filled earlier this year, while the second remained vacant until Rawal’s appointment.

Before his appointment as Deputy Governor, Rawal was serving as Executive Director and head of the Bank Supervision Department at Nepal Rastra Bank.
