Kathmandu | Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister addressed the 36th Asian Credit Supplementation Institution Confederation (ACSIC) Conference, emphasizing Nepal’s commitment to fostering innovation and strengthening the financial system.
He congratulated the Deposit and Credit Guarantee Fund (DCGF) on its 50th anniversary and recognized its role in supporting small businesses and boosting savers’ confidence through credit guarantees. He stressed the importance of financial access for startups and mentioned the government’s initiatives, including the NPR 1 billion Nepal Startup Fund and the establishment of a Business Incubation Center.
The minister highlighted the significance of innovation in economic growth, underscoring that expanding credit access and promoting savings are vital for development. He also emphasized the role of the DCGF in ensuring public trust and mitigating risks in the financial system.
