President Dhakal Extols Nepal's Investment Potential at 3rd Nepal Investment Summit 2024 -

Kathmandu, 28th April, 2024 l Chandra Prasad Dhakal, President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), has extended a warm invitation to investors worldwide to explore the abundant opportunities Nepal offers in its burgeoning economy.

Speaking at the 3rd Nepal Investment Summit 2024, President Dhakal urged investors to seize the moment and tap into Nepal's vast untapped sectors. He emphasized Nepal's strategic position between economic giants China and India, positioning it as a pivotal gateway to expansive markets.

Dhakal underscored the diverse investment prospects spanning tourism, infrastructure, energy, agriculture, technology, and ICT sectors. Of particular note was Nepal's significant potential in renewable energy, exemplified by recent power trade agreements with India and Bangladesh, showcasing its prowess in hydropower generation and regional trade.

Highlighting the importance of modern infrastructure in sectors like tourism, agriculture, and technology, Dhakal emphasized leveraging Nepal's rich cultural heritage, natural beauty, and dynamic workforce.

Additionally, Dhakal stressed the need for investment in technical education to bridge the gap between skill demand and supply, thereby boosting both domestic employment and remittance inflows.

Commending the government's initiatives in implementing business-friendly policies and bilateral investment agreements, Dhakal assured continuous support from the Nepali private sector for joint ventures across potential sectors. He cited FNCCI's role in enhancing investor confidence through international business summits in key cities like New Delhi, Beijing, and Dubai.

Expressing his confidence in Nepal's growth trajectory, Dhakal encouraged forging partnerships to drive sustainable development and prosperity in the region.
