The Nepse Index closed higher on November 17, 2025, gaining 9.78 points or 0.38% to settle at 2,550.36 as the market ended the day in positive territory. Total trading turnover reached Rs. 3.94 billion with 8.89 million shares exchanged. Out of the listed stocks, 167 advanced, 76 declined, and 13 remained unchanged, reflecting broad market optimism. BANDIPUR, SAGAR, BUNGAL, JHAPA, and GRDBL led the list of top gainers with gains ranging from 8.89% to 10%. On the turnover front, SAHAS topped the chart with Rs. 180.03 million in transactions, followed by NRN, SHIVM, RADHI, and UNHPL. Market analysts observed that strong buying interest—particularly in hydropower and banking stocks—boosted the index despite fluctuations earlier in the day, indicating improved investor sentiment.
