In a commendable move to support education and community development, Nepal SBI Bank Ltd. (NSBL) carried out a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative at Shree Balkalyan Basic School, located in Ward No. 25, Hemja, Pokhara Metropolitan City, Kaski.
As part of the program, the Bank provided school bags and stationery items to all students, aiming to promote a better learning environment and ease the financial burden on parents. The educational materials were formally handed over by Mr. Ram Kumar Tiwari, Managing Director & CEO of NSBL, to the school's Management Committee Chairman and Principal.
The event saw the gracious presence of key bank officials, including Mr. Rajesh Kumar Panda, Deputy CEO & CFO, Mr. Vikas Anand, COO, Mr. Bishnu Dev Yadav, Chief Risk and Compliance Officer, Mr. Arjun Nepal, AGM, Mr. Roshan Koirala, Chief Credit Officer, and other senior officials. Members of the School Management Committee and teaching staff also attended the program, which highlighted the collaborative effort between the bank and the local education community.
With a legacy spanning over 31 years, NSBL has consistently demonstrated its commitment to social responsibility, particularly in the education sector. The bank continues to strengthen its national presence through 100 branches, 22 extension counters, 7 province offices, 18 branchless banking units, 125 ATMs, and a corporate office, serving communities across Nepal.
This initiative underlines NSBL’s vision of building a more inclusive and educated society, affirming that empowering young minds is integral to the nation's prosperity.
