The institution was incorporated as a Public Limited Company on 17 August 2016 and received its operating license from Nepal Rastra Bank on 9 May 2017. Since its establishment, SMFBS has been committed to becoming a trusted and reliable microfinance institution by expanding access to financial services for low-income and economically disadvantaged communities.
