NMB Bank's 11th Heritage Walk Promotes Cultural Conservation Nationwide

Kathmandu, April 17, 2024 - NMB Bank marked another successful milestone today as it concluded its 11th Heritage Walk, a testament to the institution's commitment to cultural preservation and community engagement. The event, which commenced at the Balkhu Branch and culminated at the historic Uma Maheshwar Temple in Kirtipur, drew the participation of approximately 750 individuals from diverse backgrounds.

In collaboration with the Nepal Heritage Society, NMB Bank orchestrated the event, symbolizing a union of corporate responsibility and cultural stewardship. Among the distinguished attendees were Mr. Manoj Kumar Goyal, Chairman of NMB Bank, accompanied by Directors Mr. Jeevan Kumar Katwal, Mr. Uttam Bhlon, Mr. Harishchandra Subedi, and Mr. Sirish Kumar Murarka, alongside CEO Mr. Sunil K.C. The presence of representatives from the Kirtipur Municipality, members of the Nepal Heritage Society, and dedicated employees of NMB Bank further underscored the collective effort to preserve Nepal's rich heritage.

Adding prestige to the occasion, Mr. Shailendra Man Bajracharya, Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Cooperatives for Bagmati Province, graced the event as the chief guest, emphasizing the significance of cultural conservation in contemporary society. As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, NMB Bank extended support to the Nepal Heritage Society with a generous donation of NPR 500,000 for heritage conservation endeavors. Additionally, the Bank contributed to local environmental sustainability efforts by providing dustbins to the Kirtipur Municipality.

The Heritage Walk wasn't confined to Kathmandu; similar programs unfolded across all provinces of the country, fostering a nationwide celebration of cultural heritage. From the vibrant streets of Koshi Province to the historical landmarks of Lumbini, communities united in a collective stride towards preserving Nepal's cultural legacy.
